Alaska Leadership Academy Now Accepting Applications for Inaugural Program

Program Launched to Equip Center-Right Leaders for Alaska

The new Alaska Leadership Academy (ALA) is currently taking apps for this preeminent annual program to train, educate, equip and connect experienced and emerging leaders in Alaska. The program, sponsored by the Alaska Policy Forum, is based on enduring principles and examines how these apply to today’s challenges.

Places are limited and highly competitive, but all in-state residents who are motivated and dedicated to making a difference in Alaska are welcome to apply. Applications and letters of recommendation must be submitted by email no later than August 10.

ALA will consist of eight sessions at various Southcentral/Anchorage hotels, one per month beginning October 15. The course curriculum will be presented by experts from across the country and Alaska, and will include topics such as America’s Founding Principles, Alaska’s Constitution, leadership ethics, media training before the camera and the defense of capitalism and the free market.

Bethany Marcum, CEO of Alaska Policy Forum, said, “ALA graduates will learn and grow as leaders within a strong peer network whose members can lead positive and meaningful change within of our state.”
